I'm stuck between Unity, CryEngine 3, and UDK

CryEngine 3 is free? That's a new one.

Most devs today use Unity (at least what I saw), I never used Unity myself but I hear it's a really powerful, yet easy to use engine.

I didn't play with UDK too much either, but I'm going to guess that the workflow is same as in UE2, so I would choose that.

You could always download all three, play with each for let's say a week and try to make something. That would give you a good indication what engine suits you the best.

When I get mad I just want to go POSTAL.

I didn't want to say that UDK is exactly as same as UE2. I did launch it once and I immediately noticed that a lot of things have changed.

What I was meaning, because I already worked with Unreal, getting into UDK wouldn't be as hard. Most of the things would be familiar to me. Of course, watching some tutorials over at 3dbuzz.com would be the first thing I would do when getting into UDK.
