Postal 2 beta?

I just saw some YouTube videos from this user called XEvil9 of what looks like an unreleased Postal 2 beta. For example the map for the errands have different music, the shotgun looks like the ED Shotgun and the gasoline can looks all red and rusty. Anywhere I can download this beta or get someone to make a P2 mod based on it?

I searched for this version...a lot... never found anything....


Well Information I collected:

-the Weapon animations are in fact all pretty different from the current Version
-a lot of Textures are different
-the game seems to run pretty smooth
-this beta is a Version from 2002
-a lot of russians seem to have this
-the Sniper texture appears to be in Kameks weapons pack (Super Sniper thing)
-you seem to able to choose the Playstyle in a first Menu in the Main Menu
-the First Beta Gameplay Trailer came out on the 10/10/2002



Toploader, get in here and tell us where to get this. Please....seriously please....

Perhaps someone should make a postal 2 mod based on the beta. Also, the Russians are so lucky!

Or probably they should make a small mod of p2 that has what was in the beta and concepts. It'll be called: Postal 2: The Beta Cut.

Kinda off topic but peregrinate to the topic..

Does RWS have anything that they would release to RS say unreleased maps story line stuff like that. I'm a fan by nature I'd like to say i have a peace of Gaming history  :) Limited release.

another thought i might just go back to mapping postal again and ut3, i still play both. though im looking for a easier way to port maps..  :D

not that i'm aware of but we do have the p2 max files.

besides i haven' finished modding postal 2 yet,simple because i can :P

maybe i should make a new thread get a few more of us together who still mod postal2:stp and make something epic

i can add new textures pawns weapons tasks working ingame map animations ect (well basically most of it)

we would need a mapper though cos i suck at mapping :P

and i know alot of you are great with custom pawns textures and other stuff too

one thing i haven't seen done yet and i know can be done is custom damage,i mean rather than chop off arm how about an axe that splits them vertically or a microwave gun like original soldier of fortune.

reason we haven't had that yet is simple because it would need to be coded into the pawn code itself (like the taser animations) then blood chunks ect after explotion or vertically split bits.

guns that literally blow holes in people and leave a nice mess.

hookers (have a better reason to have $500 lol)

i know i'm a sick puppy :P

isn't that exactly what i wanted a while ago, huh? I think i could've gotten closer to solving it this time. =)
Since it was very easy to get Moods for player to work, simply attach to a command, there is also an action for being Electricuted or something like that... (Problem is, it's supposed to be triggered by hitting the player by shocker)
There's an entire state for a pawn to be electrified, tried to move everything, but several code errors got on the way. =|
And it isn't Player's controller to be modified anyway. =)

Arh, yeah, sorry for offtopic. Couldn't help it. A fucking nostalgy, but this time it shall be different. *begins to dig*

we know it can be done,its just getting to the how because of code errors but we'll figure that out between us :P

plus theres some great russian/polish modders out there that have come leap and bounds with postal code and achived things that i admit thought was impossable on this engine,even gamefan still continues to surprise me (^_^)

Vertical Slicing up sounds cool, was thinking about something like this when i played L4D2 where bullets also burst holes in bodies, and the axe or the katana slice zombies up, which actually looked pretty decent.

Also a question to you Wolve: Is it possible to add a few graphical updates to Unreal 2.5? HD Textures for Postal 2, Vertical Sync, Bloom and all this Stuff. A graphics update, maybe overhauled models and such Stuff would get more people to play it because it looks like it should, updated. Since Killing Floor is based on 2.5 it should be possible to make something like this I guess..
