postal2 server gravity setting
« on: April 05, 2012, 10:57:22 PM »
hey :)
I know how to set gravity on 1490X server during run-time with console command "Admin Gravity 800".  But I have no clue how to do this in the postal2.ini for all maps. I know you guys don't run postal2 servers anymore, but any help would be appreciated :)

I read the 1409 documentation before posting. That thing addresses ingame admin gravity, xadmin multipliers (ground speed/air speed) and mutators (lowgrav), I already have all those setup.

The default lowgrav mod is just a little too much like walking on the Moon, I'm guessing multistuff gravity is equivalent to 500 or lower, I'd prefer 800 to 900.  I don't know if I can directly edit the .u file, but I'm considering changing the physical volume equation.

Maybe I missed something  :-\

Seems like the ini should have a gravity=int setting under one of the headers

Thanks  ;D

I adjusted those, I must not have adjusted enough ;D  I'm using lowgrav mod and have those set too:
AirSpeedMul = 2.0
AccelMul = 1.5
JumpMul = 1.5

I'm going to play with them some more
thanks again

I turned off the lowgrav and it's a lot better now. I think I need to increase the boostjump a bit, and I'll be golden.
Thanks MrDownerup and Toploader

It's similar, in fact at one point Downer had a server that he converted postal to UT04, it was fun.  Some of the Postal maps are converted from unreal tournament also.
